Research Institute of Sinopec Nanjing Chemical Industrial
Group(NCIG) grew out of Chemical Industrial Research Institute
of the Ministry of Chemical Industry which was founded in
1958 and locates in Dachang District, Nanjing, Capital of
Province Jiangsu. It is a enterprise of science and technology
which specializes in chemical research and development,engineering
design as well as process products.
Research Institute of NCIG is especially engaged in the
development and production of chemical catalyst with a long
history, we are always keeping ahead in the catalytic field
such as ammonia synthesis, high and low temperature shift,
methanation, methanol synthesis, sulfuric acid production
from sulfur dioxide and so on.
We have won more than 400 Prizes since 1958, 240 prizes
at over city level including 6 prizes of National Invention,
11 prizes of National Scientific and Technical Progress, 19
prizes of National Science Congress, 128 prizes at ministerial
level, awarded 14 national patents.
We have two journals Sulfuric Acid Industry and Chemical
Industry and Engineering Technology published home and abroad,
which were appraised as Excellent Journals of Science and
Technology, Province Jiangsu. The quantity of articles of
Sulfuric Acid Industry included by Chemistry Abstract (CA,
U.S.A.) places within 1,000.
Since Research Institute of NCIG was set up, we have achieved
rapid development with the advanced technology. Up to now,
Research Institute of NCIG has been authorized 12 national
and ministerial centers such as Quality Inspection Center
of National Chemical Catalyst, Jiangsu Engineering Technical
Research Center of Fertilizer Catalyst, Technical Standardization
Unit of Chemical Fertilizer Catalyst, etc..
We have 268 professional staffs including 6 professors,
48 senior engineers, 83 engineers, 131 assistant engineers.
Now 4 staffs are rewarded praise of "Young and Middle-aged
Expert", 3 experts enjoy the fame of Governmental Special
Allowance for their remarkable contribution. The institute
possesses 14 good-sized chemical and physical analysis apparatus,
2 catalyst product-line with 1000 t/a capacity and 20 series
of activity-evaluating units of catalyst which can evaluate
19 series of catalysts to ensure the qualities.
In the past several years, the research institute has achieved
development of a number of catalysts which have been used
in industries such as C306-a new-typed catalyst for methanol
synthesis under medium or low pressure, B207-a new-typed catalyst
for low temperature shift under the condition of low ratio
of steam and dry gas and DH021-a catalyst for cyclohexanol
dehydogenation , and remarkable social and economic benefit
has been obtained.
We passed ISO9001:2000 Quality System in 2001 and quality
systems have been formulated from raw material purchase to
yield. Research Institute of NCIG wishes to bring its technology
and talents into play to meet chemical entities' demand, it
is always adhering to the principle of "prestige first,
quality first, customers first and service first".
