| NC501 type methanol synthesis catalyst, an improved
successor to C207, was developed and produced by Research Institute
of Nanjing Chemical Industrial Group. With optimized composition
and manufacturing process, NC501 has superior activity, selectivity
and thermostability to C207. It is mainly used for reaction
of CO, CO2 with H2 to form methanol in a combined process of
synthetic ammonia and methanol, and also for methanol synthesis
at medium or low pressures.

Initial activity (hourly output of methanol per ml catalyst):
≥1.00g/ml.h
Activity after heat run (hourly output of methanol per ml
catalyst) : ≥0.80g/ml.h
4. Operation Conditions
Temperature: 210~300℃
Optimal temperature: 220~270℃
Pressure: 10.0~15.0MPa
Space velocity: 6000~20000h-1
Commercial Application
NC501 catalyst has been successfully used in more than 20
combined methanol plants in China. The results show NC501
has high activity, strength and stability and brings about
an increase in output of methanol. It is an ideal upgrading
substitution.
